Knight of Ratatosk, a.k.a Dawn of the New World takes place immediately after Lloyd and Collette merges the two worlds together. Due to this great change, a new chaos is born and the game starts with the blood bath of Palmacosta in which the protagonist Emil is orphaned.
Although revenge, destruction and chaos are big parts of the game, the idea of overcoming these obstacles through friendship, partnership that eventually lead a world toward true rebirth take an even bigger role therefore the mood of the game has never been excessively dark. To suit this hopeful, sunny atmosphere, the music in the game are mostly upbeat as exemplified by the theme song, Misono's Three Legged Race in the first track.
The new characters Emil and Marta have new musical themes that suit their personalities while old characters like Collette and people from Lloyd's gang have their themes edited and remixed to match their matured roles.
