Nice replacement!
This is a replacement for the ac adapter for nes or snes, I dont have any sega consoles so I dont know which one is genisis 1.
After opening the box, I can see the ac adapter comes in similar size to the nes ac adapter, but is not very heavy, super light I was surprised about this, I dont think you can connect both consoles at the same time, it doesnt say in the box, but probably is not safe. The cable feels super thin, very fragile, if you have any pet like cats you have to be becareful so the cat doesnt byte the cable, will break very easily.
The only good thing now it suports from 100-240 volts so you can connect in any country, and works fine, I didnt saw any problem.
