Item Description

Tezuka Osamu's original manga and Dezaki Osamu's OVA storyboards - a collection of materials on a new approach to Black Jack, with the two OSAMUs working together!
This book, published as part of the 50th anniversary of the start of the BJ serialization, combines the manga (original work) side and the animation side of Black Jack. The storyboards for Black Jack were drawn by Osamu Dezaki, who made his debut as a manga artist in a rental comic magazine before joining Mushi Production. From all 10 episodes, in addition to "Ova 4: Anorexia, the Two Dark Doctors," in which Dr. Kiriko, BJ's biggest rival, appears, various setting drawings and materials are included as animation side. The original manga, "The Terror Virus (original title: Incarnation of the Grim Reaper)", in which Dr. Kiriko first appears, is included in a printed version of the original manuscript that makes use of pencil lines. Also included is the full version of "The Two Dark Doctors", which has the same title as the anime, and all the front pages of episodes in which Dr. Kiriko appears (omitted from the comics).
Titled "Two Black Jacks", Tezuka and Dezaki -- a collaboration between Black Jack (and Dr. Kiriko) by two OSAMUs with a deep connection. This is a must-have book for Tezuka fans, Dezaki fans, and BJ fans. And for those interested in Japanese manga and anime culture.
